Our vision for CASE is that everyone should enjoy “A Ride of Passion”. Our mission is to “offer quality therapeutic, equine-facilitated activities. We target the specific needs of the individual and provide opportunities for community involvement and support.” We believe that equine –facilitated activities provide people with physical, cognitive, psychological, social, educational and recreational benefits. Our goal is to meet the needs of people who have a variety of needs, ranging from physical disabilities to social and emotional needs. This program is highly dependant on a volunteer base of over 100 people as well as the financial support in the form of donations & grants. Without our faithful & willing “horse - partners” we wouldn’t be able to have that “ride of passion. Our horses are carefully chosen & trained to meet the needs of our riders.
Our first annual Gala fundraising event was Amazing! Thanks to our many sponsors, those who donated for both the live and silent auction and for ALL of YOU who attended. The entertainment was fantastic and the dancing - FUN! An attendance of 300+ people made the night full of visiting, bidding wars and most of all, learning about CASE.
Danny Hooper did a great job MC-ing the evening. At the end of the time together he said: “Great job!!! I have never seen a first time event so well done!! Congratulations to all involved.” It is our pleasure to announce that Danny will be back next year for second annual Gala.
The band and singers encouraged everyone to get up and dance. Jamie Warren, Willie Mack and Duane Steel played till the early hours of the morning. Jamie and Willie will play again next year.
The donations for the auction ranged from an apple pie made by Mayer Flewelling to a mountain trail ride with Stan Radke outfitting. There were over 100 donations for our auctions as well as many sponsors that helped us raise over $25,000!!
We express our great appreciation to everyone involved in making this a GREAT NIGHT of food, entertainment, information and of course, money raised.
We look forward to another great year at the arena and plans are already in progress for next years GALA. April 3, 2009 is the chosen date for our next Gala. Take a look at our website: www.hoofbeats.org, call: 403-302-0707 or email to coordinator@hoffbeats.org
Happy Trails till we meet again.
