Thank you for your interest in our program. CASE believes that all persons, with a variety of disabling conditions, will benefit, in many ways, from being a part of our program. On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of CASE we extend a warm welcome to you.
We are running Monday evening, Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon riding sessions. There are 3 classes in each session. There are 5 riding sessions per year, with each session being 6 weeks. We will try to fit your rider into the time slot that best fits you as well as being in a class with others of the same or similar ability. You may register your rider in one or more sessions. We will do our best to accommodate for multiple sessions, depending on availability of time slots.
We would appreciate your registration and payment 2 - 4 weeks prior to the start of the riding session. This will ensure your time slot for riding. Please confirm with the program that your payment/registration has been received and the time for your ride. Membership fee is good from Aug. 1 to July 31 of any given yearEach set of riding lessons or one session, consists of six (6) lessons. Registration fees are $200 per session, plus a $10.00 membership fee (once per year).
Each rider is expected to bring an adult volunteer (over 16) to assist rider as a side walker.
Be sure to wear appropriate (warm/layered) clothing with suitable walking shoes (no sandals).
There are also a limited number of scholarships & sponsorships available to help those individuals who need assistance. Applications are available for this program. Please fill in the Registration &releases page (for each riding session), medical information (first registration only unless there are changes) and send (give) them to the program director 2 – 4 weeks prior to the riding session.
We would like to encourage you to attend the Annual General meeting. This is held in the fall of each year, the first Thursday evening in October. Your input at this meeting is VERY IMPORTANT. Without our riders, parents/guardians, and volunteers there would be no CASE.
You are also welcome to attend the monthly board meetings, held on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm. CASE has an active board of directors and is always looking for people willing to serve in various volunteer positions.
Please feel free to speak to the coordinator or the instructor about any concerns you may have in regards to your rider. We look forward to having you as part of Central Alberta Special Equestrians.
Sincerely
Board and Staff of CASE
